Sonny Rollins protege ERIC WYATT: Thanksgiving Soul & Fire

Hard-swinging, deeply soulful saxophone jazz with Brooklyn grit, blues fire, and serious late-night energy.

Brooklyn-born saxophonist Eric Wyatt brings a powerful, full-bodied sound shaped by the jazz tradition and driven by a modern sense of urgency. His playing moves between muscular swing, blues-soaked lyricism, and fiery improvisation, with the kind of presence that takes over a room.

Wyatt has performed and recorded with Roy Hargrove, Branford Marsalis, Kenny Garrett, Jeff “Tain” Watts, Wallace Roney, Robert Glasper, Keyon Harrold, Al Foster, and Wynton Marsalis, and has appeared on stages including the Blue Note, Birdland, Dizzy’s, the Montreal Jazz Festival, and the Nice Jazz Festival.

Rooted in the lineage of Sonny Rollins and the great New York saxophone tradition, Wyatt brings that history forward with soul, force, and a sound built for the live setting.
