Under the mentorship of Buster Williams, Edwards has developed a sound from studying the masters, such as Milt Hinton, Paul Chambers, and Oscar Petitford. As a sideman, Billy has accompanied The Dynamic Miss Faye Carol, Terri Davis, Casey Benjamin, Ralph Moore, Roy McCurdy, Sylvia Cuenca, Bruce Forman, Calvin Keys, Dennis Chambers, Blaque Dynamite, and Steve Carrington. Edwards travels the world as part of Steve Carrington's Trio Infinity. When jazz royalty joins forces, the result is nothing short of magic.
